Event Terms & Conditions

The Family Office Almanac
Last updated: 26 June 2026

These terms apply to events organised by The Family Office Almanac ("we"). They are in addition to our Terms of Use and, for paid events, our Commercial Terms.

These terms are forward-looking and take effect once the Almanac runs ticketed or hosted events.

1. Booking

A booking is confirmed when we accept it (and, for paid events, when payment is received). We may limit numbers, decline a booking, or require attendees to meet eligibility criteria (e.g. verified professional or family-office attendees).

2. Fees and payment

Event fees, if any, are shown at booking and are exclusive of VAT. Payment is taken by Stripe.

3. Cancellation and refunds

By you: full refund if you cancel at least 14 days before the event; 50% between 14 and 7 days; no refund within 7 days. Substitutions of a named attendee are allowed at no charge with prior notice. Consumers (if any) retain any statutory cancellation rights.

By us: if we cancel or materially reschedule an event, you may transfer your place or receive a full refund of fees paid. We are not liable for your travel, accommodation or other incidental costs.

4. Conduct

Attendees must behave professionally and lawfully. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone whose conduct is disruptive, unsafe or in breach of these terms, without refund.

5. Photography, recording and Chatham House

Events may be photographed or recorded, and the Chatham House Rule applies unless we tell you otherwise. Where we photograph or record an event, we will tell you in advance and explain how images are used; see the Privacy Notice. Attendees must not record others without consent.

6. Data protection

Booking and attendance data is handled under our Privacy Notice. We will not share an attendee list with third parties without a lawful basis and prior notice.

7. Liability

Subject to the liability terms in our Terms of Use, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss; for paid events our liability is limited to the fees you paid for the event.

8. Governing law

Governed by the laws of England & Wales.
