Shahrzad Atai

Shahrzad Atai is a Partner and Head of International Clients at Seddons GSC, a Mayfair-based law firm. She launched her legal career at GSC Solicitors in 2011 and has since held roles including Managing Director at Alvarium Investments, Head of the Middle East Desk, and leadership positions within a Kuwaiti family office specialising in private wealth management. Her specialisms include cross-border transactions, property finance, structuring, private wealth, foreign investment in the UK, banking finance, financial sanctions, Sharia finance, and dispute resolution; her UHNW and corporate clients are primarily based in the Middle East and Europe.

She holds an LLM from the College of Law London, an LLB from the University of Hertfordshire, and a degree in Applied Mathematics. She is multilingual (French, Italian, Turkish, and Persian), lectures on international economics at the University of Orleans and the University of Tours, and has been recognised as Lawyer of the Year for Cross-Border and International Matters. She is listed in the Spear's 500 (2025, Trusts, Structuring & Offshore category).
