Rosamond McDowell

Rosamond McDowell is a Partner at Payne Hicks Beach who specialises in tax and estate planning advice for individual private clients, families and trustees, onshore and offshore. She advises families on estate and capital taxes, inheritance, wills, trusts and financial structures, and her expertise includes mental capacity matters, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications. She also handles contentious issues involving probate maladministration, trust breaches and multi-jurisdictional conflicts, defending executors and trustees against beneficiary complaints.

She qualified in 1998, trained at Charles Russell, then joined Biddle & Co (which merged with Pinsents in 2001), moved to Collyer Bristow in 2004, and joined Payne Hicks Beach in 2014, where she became a partner that same year. She is a member of the Law Society Private Client Section and is an ordained priest.
