Philip Hoffman
Philip Hoffman is Chairman and Founder of The Fine Art Group, established in 2001 as the first company to successfully launch a series of eight art investment funds and described as the world's largest art advisory group. He spent 12 years at Christie's before founding the firm, becoming Christie's Chief Financial Officer at age 27, later serving as Deputy Chief Executive of Europe and joining Christie's global management board at age 33.
The Fine Art Group values and advises on more than $20 billion annually and represents over 350 family offices across 28 countries, having transacted over $1.4 billion in artworks and jewellery. Under Hoffman the group acquired Falcon Fine Art's art-financing business in 2018, acquired Pall Mall Art Advisors in 2021, launched a New York headquarters via a partnership with Schwartzman& in 2022, expanded into Asia through a joint venture with Patti Wong & Associates in 2023, and in 2025 co-launched New Perspectives Art Partners. He is a media commentator on international art markets and serves on the Development Boards of the National Portrait Gallery London and the CW+ charity.
