Myrna Ayad

Myrna Ayad is a Dubai-based cultural strategist, art adviser and independent arts writer specialising in visual art and culture from the Arab world, Iran and Turkey. She served as editor of Canvas magazine from 2007 to 2015, then as Director of Art Dubai from 2016 to 2018, before establishing her own consultancy, Myrna Ayad Cultural Strategy and Art Advisory, in 2018. Ayad has written for The New York Times, CNN Online, The Art Newspaper, Artforum, Artsy, Artnet, Wallpaper* and The National. She serves as an adviser to Riyadh's Misk Art Institute and has authored or edited several books including Sheikh Zayed: An Eternal Legacy (2021) and Dubai Wonder (2021). She was nominated among Forbes's 100 Most Powerful Arab Businesswomen in 2017 and ranked in Arabian Business's 50 Most Influential Women in the Arab World in 2018.
