Michael Betley is a Consultant at Ocorian in Guernsey. He founded Trust Corporation International in 2003 and, following Ocorian's acquisition of that firm in November 2021, joined Ocorian as Managing Director. In September 2022 he was appointed Global Head of Private Clients; from October 2025 he stepped back from his managment role to focus on his UHNW client base and board positions at client companies and remains a Consultant with the firm. Prior to founding Trust Corporation International, he worked as a private client partner at the London law firm Wedlake Bell, where he was recognised in the Legal 500.

He specialises in assisting wealthy families and financial institutions with wealth management and estate planning strategies, and manages board positions at private trust companies and investment funds, including representing family interests as a protector. He holds Chartered Director status from the Institute of Directors and is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, STEP (former Guernsey Branch chairman and Founder's Award recipient), Guernsey International Legal Association, and the International Bar Association. He was named in the 2024 eprivateclient 50 Most Influential list.
