Mari-Claudia Jiménez is a partner and global co-head of the art law practice at Withers, and leads Withers Art and Advisory from New York, focusing on art market advisory, acquisition, financing, and disposition of fine art and collectibles for collectors, family offices, fiduciaries, estates, museums, galleries, and auction houses. She joined Withers in 2025.

Prior to joining Withers, she served as Chairman, President Americas and Head of Global Business Development at Sotheby's for close to a decade, where she led client and business development activities globally and drove landmark transactions including the Macklowe Collection ($922 million) and the Emily Fisher Landau collection. Earlier in her legal career she handled significant transactions including the Neue Galerie's acquisition of Gustav Klimt's Adele Block Bauer I, five Kazimir Malevich masterpiece restitutions, and the sale of Picasso's Nude, Green Leaves and Bust ($106.5 million). She holds a JD from Fordham University Law School and a BA from Williams College, and was named to Spear's Best Art Advisors 2025.
