Kecia Barkawi
Kecia Barkawi is Founding Partner and CEO of VALUEworks AG in Zurich, which she established in 2004, leading the development of its holistic, innovative and values-based service offering. She advises on wealth structuring, family governance, risk management, estate planning and philanthropy, and coaches women and NextGen individuals on wealth-related challenges. She also serves on the boards of select family companies and charitable foundations and acts as protector and executor for family estates, and she speaks, publishes and has judged at STEP's Private Client Awards.
Before founding VALUEworks she worked at GAM in Zurich and Bermuda and joined PwC's private client team as a vice president in 1998. In 2007 she spearheaded the creation of the Swiss Association of Trust Companies (SATC), which she presided over until 2012. She holds a Master in Law from the University of Zurich and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, and speaks five languages. Her recognitions include "Outstanding Contribution to Wealth Management Thought Leadership" and "Leading Individual" at the WealthBriefing Swiss Awards (2021), and awards at the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards (2022).
