Josh Matthews

Josh Matthews is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of MASECO Private Wealth, which he established in 2008 after building the US Expat division at Citibank London. He began his wealth management career in 1998 at Salomon Smith Barney in New York, ranked top of his training class, and transferred to London in 2001 to serve American expatriates. MASECO specialises in wealth management for US and UK high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients with multi-jurisdictional requirements, offering US-UK tax-efficient strategies and custody options.

Matthews holds an Honours in Business Administration from Ivey School of Business, specialising in International Finance. He is a UK Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (since 2001) and a US SEC Registered Investment Adviser (since 1997). Under his leadership MASECO pioneered UK tax-efficient structures for US mutual funds, earning a PAM Innovation Award in 2009, and became the first UK wealth management firm to achieve B Corp certification. He was recognised in the 2025 edition of The Spear's 500.
