Jonathan Speck
Jonathan Speck is an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey and a partner of Mourant since 1996, where he is Chair of Mourant Group (a role assumed on 1 February 2025) having previously served as Senior Partner and as Managing Partner of the Jersey office. He specialises in commercial litigation, particularly contentious and non-contentious trust cases, and works across International Trusts and Private Client, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, and Restructuring and Insolvency.
He qualified as an Advocate of Jersey in 1994 and was called to the English Bar in 1990 (currently non-practising). He was President of the Law Society of Jersey from 2014 to 2017 and was elected an Academician of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law in 2017. He is a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and has written and lectured on trust and estate law internationally.
