Jonathan Burt

Jonathan Burt is a Partner in the International Private Client division of Charles Russell Speechlys, with over 30 years of experience. He previously worked as a Partner at Baker & McKenzie and as Managing Director at Barclays Wealth Advisory, where he served on the Management Committee of the International Trusts business.

His expertise covers cross-border legal and tax issues, tax, trusts, foundations and corporate structures, succession planning, capital structuring across borders, and real estate and business investments in the UK, with a particular focus on Africa, the Middle East and the USA. He is ranked Band 1 in Chambers for Private Wealth Law and in the Hall of Fame in Legal 500 for Tax, Trusts and Probate, and won the 2025 Citywealth Career Achievement Award.
