Joe Crome

Joe Crome is Head of Business Development and Head of the CAF American Donor Fund at the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), a position he has held since joining the organisation in 2020. He leads philanthropic advisory for dual US/UK taxpayers and oversees the growth strategy of the American Donor Fund, which generates over £140 million annually in charitable contributions.

Crome brings 16 years of experience in the charity sector. Prior to joining CAF, he served as Director of Philanthropy at a Community Foundation, where he advised high-net-worth families on their charitable giving. He holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation from the American College of Financial Services — noted as the only UK adviser with this qualification — and an Advanced Certificate in International Anti-Money Laundering from the International Compliance Association. He is shortlisted for the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2026 'Philanthropy Advisor of the Year' and is ranked Top Recommended in the 2025 Spear's 500 philanthropy advisers index.
