James Currie

James Currie is a Director in the Business Tax team at Buzzacott, having joined the firm in 2012. He advises founders and entrepreneurs throughout the business lifecycle — from launch and growth through to exit and succession — and specialises in bridging business and personal tax, helping business owners align commercial decisions with long-term financial goals.

Recent work includes advising a family business on company shareholdings in view of changes to Business Property Relief, advising a founder on wealth structuring through trusts and a Family Investment Company post-exit, and advising founders relocating from the UK to jurisdictions including the UAE, Malta, and Spain.
