Iraj Ispahani

Iraj Ispahani is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ispahani Advisory Ltd, based in London, where he and his team of consultants advise wealth owners on family business strategy, governance, strategic philanthropy, education and family well-being. The firm operates internationally across EMEA and APAC, specialising in working with family and private businesses, private foundations and wealth owners.

Prior to founding Ispahani Advisory, Iraj spent sixteen years at JP Morgan, where he was Global COO of the Financial Institutions Group, working across fixed-income markets, investment banking and asset and wealth management; he subsequently led EMEA financial services at Korn/Ferry. He co-founded Cantos, an online corporate communications business, in 2001. A seventh-generation member of the family that founded the Ispahani Group — a Bangladesh-based conglomerate established in 1820 — he serves as Group Director and Board Member. He is Chair of The Shakespeare's Globe Council, an Independent Trustee of the Standard Chartered Foundation, and a Founding Advisor to the Responsible Family Business and Wealth Ownership programme at Cambridge Judge Business School. He was educated at Winchester College and holds an MPhil in International Relations from Cambridge University.
