Frederick Bjørn

Frederick Bjørn is a Partner and Managing Partner at Payne Hicks Beach, having joined the firm in 2010 after training and qualifying at Slaughter and May in 2008 in its Corporate Tax team. He was made partner in 2015 and took on the role of Managing Partner in 2022. He holds STEP qualifications including distinctions in the Diploma in Trusts and Estates, the Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients, and the Advanced Certificate in Advising the Family Business and Family Business Governance (2022), and sits on the STEP Business Families Global SIG Steering Committee.

Bjørn's practice focuses on personal tax and trust issues, succession planning, and family governance for entrepreneurial and multi-generational families, including non-domiciled individuals. He leads the firm's Scandinavian initiative, advising clients with connections to Denmark and the broader Nordic region from a UK perspective, and also works alongside US lawyers and accountants on UK-based individuals' estate planning with US connections. He won the Inspirational Individual of the Year award at the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2025.
