Doris Sommavilla

Doris Sommavilla is a Director in the Family Office team at Stonehage Fleming, which she joined in 2021. She advises ultra-high-net-worth individuals and business families on governance and succession matters. Prior to Stonehage Fleming she was a Principal at Blu Family Office (UK), and earlier held a role at Pimco (Germany). As a third-generation entrepreneur who inherited her family business without a succession plan, she is a Non-Executive Director of that family business in Italy and is passionate about helping next-generation leaders navigate similar challenges.

She holds an MSc in Finance from Bocconi University, is a CFA Charterholder and a Qualified Family Officer (AIFO), and is a member of CISI, CAIA and STEP. She is the founder of a women-in-family-business network focused on mentorship and research on succession diversity, and co-authored the award-winning article "The Making of Successful Female Family-Enterprise Leaders".
