David Yates KC
David Yates KC is a barrister at Pump Court Tax Chambers, called to the Bar in 2004 (Lincoln's Inn) and appointed King's Counsel in 2019. He read Classics (first class) at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, and holds the Lord Haldane and Lord Denning scholarships from his legal training. He has served as Junior Counsel to the Crown on the 'A' panel since September 2017 and was additionally called to the Bar in Ireland in 2024.
Yates KC's practice spans corporate tax (including transfer pricing and Pillar II), personal tax for trusts and non-UK domiciled individuals, VAT and indirect taxes, employment taxes, and tax-related professional negligence.
