Daniel Bader

Daniel Bader is a Partner at Bär & Karrer and Co-Head of the firm's Tax Department, as well as Co-Head of the firm's St. Moritz office, based in Zurich. He holds a lic. oec. from the University of Zurich (2003) and qualified as a Certified Tax Expert in 2008. He joined Bär & Karrer as a partner in 2010, having previously held roles as a tax adviser at a Swiss bank and as an associate at Swiss law firms.

He advises Swiss and international private clients on complex tax matters, estate and succession planning, wealth structuring, trusts, and cross-border planning. He is President of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) European Region, a member of the IFA Supervisory Board, and an International Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He also serves as a board member in family offices. He is consistently ranked by Chambers, Legal 500, and Citywealth, and was named Lawyer of the Year – Switzerland 2025 by IFC Citywealth.
