Clare Archer

Clare Archer is a Partner at Penningtons Manches Cooper and heads the firm's London private client and tax team. Her practice covers estate planning, tax and capital tax planning, will and trust drafting, asset protection, family office advisory, and generational planning and governance for high net worth individuals, families, business owners, and landed families. She writes the probate section of the STEP handbook and is editor-in-chief of Family Offices: The STEP Handbook for Advisors (published with STEP and Globe Law and Business).

She is a member of STEP, named Top Recommended 2025 in the Spear's 500 Tax Lawyers index, listed in the ePrivateClient 50 Most Influential for eight years, and is a regular speaker at conferences including the International Bar Association's Annual International Tax Conference.
