Claire Harris

Claire Harris is a partner in the private client and tax team at Withers and head of the European family office team, as well as co-head of the Global India team. She advises individuals, families, and family offices on tax, trust, and estate planning, acting for clients both UK-based and non-UK domiciled or resident; her non-UK clients often come from the US or India, and she has extensive experience in US/UK and India/UK cross-border matters. Her family office work covers jurisdiction and structure choice, risk management, philanthropy, governance, and succession.

Claire read Physics and Philosophy at Oxford University (B.A. Hons), joined Withers in 2006, was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2008, and became a partner in 2017. She is ranked in the Chambers High Net Worth 2025 guide and named a Legal 500 UK Next-Generation Partner for 2026.
