Alastair Hunter is a Senior Executive Advisor at The Hottinger Group and a principal member of both its Management Committee and Executive Committee. He began his career in 1995 at the merchant bank Robert Fleming & Co, working across banking, real estate and investment management until the bank's sale in 2000, when he moved to JP Morgan Chase & Co. In 2001 he joined the newly established Fleming Family & Partners Family Office, and in 2003 co-founded Highland Star Group in Geneva with the Flemings, subsequently backed by Bank of Scotland and Standard Chartered Bank.

He joined the Coutts Private Office in 2009 and in 2012 founded his own business, which became one of the foundation stones of the Hottinger Group. He is responsible for the stewardship of new and existing deal activities, either as stand-alone investments or through collective investment schemes, and undertakes special projects on behalf of clients.
